BPBD Handles Inundation at 70 Polling Stations

The heavy and extreme rain in Jakarta on Wednesday (2/14) dawn until morning caused several areas inundated.

They were deployed to move the polling station to the safer location

Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) noted that the number of inundated RT was declining from 16 to 13 RTs or 0.042 percent out of 30,772 RTs up to 12 PM. The number of inundated road was also dclining from 42 to 39 roads.

Based on the agency's data, there were 70 polling stations or 0.22 percent out of total 30,766 polliing stations were impacted by heavy rain.

Agency Head, Isnawa Aji, admitted his side deployed more than 200 personnel to the inundated polling stations.

"They were deployed to move the polling station to the safer location," he said, Wednesday (2/14).

The personnel were also equipped with boats, tents and so on. Joint personnel from Water Resources Agency, Fire Handling and Rescue, Urban Village PPSU, RT/RW caretaker, and others were also deployed.

BPBD also cooperated with related units such as Water Resources Agency, Fire Handling and Rescue Agency, and others to suck the water and make sure water line in good condition.

The impacted polling station up to Wednesday (2/14) at 12 PM were;

West Jakarta by 31 polling stations

- Kapuk Urban Village: 9 polling stations

- Mangga Besar Urban Village: 3 polling stations

- Kembangan Utara Urban Village: 3 polling stations

- Kedoya Selatan Urban Village: 2 polling stations

- Duri Kepa Urban Village: 2 polling stations

- Rawa Buaya Urban Village: 6 polling stations

- Duri Kosambi Urban Village: 6 polling stations

North Jakarta by 27 polling stations

- Kebon Bawang Urban Village: 1 polling station

- Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village: 1 polling station

- Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village: 4 polling stations

- Tugu Utara Urban Village: 2 polling stations

- Sungai Bambu Urban Village: 1 polling station

- Kelapa Gading Barat: 18 polling stations

East Jakarta were three polling stations in Cakung Timur Urban Village. Central Jakarta were three polling stations in Gunung Sahari Utara Urban Village. And South Jakarta were six polling stations in Kuningan Barat Urban Village.
